This blog carries something different.     

 It will make you aware, conscious about certain things in social media, for some of  you it can horrify too and compell you to look at things with the change of perspective.

Blog is gist of lenghty articles and podcasts  in easy manner so it will definetly captivate you.  

Blog content is based on arrival of social media, short form content i.e reels and how we can make it useful, it may sound ironical. You will get to know about terms like ECHO CHAMBER and  ‘The Malevolent Polarisation', basically the dark side of Social Media Industry.

Let's Begin....

In 1990s ,adult friendships were defined by hours long chit chats by sitting together, where as now In 2020s friendships are defined by DMs, sending of reels and memes and it is somewhat fine as time changes, technology evolves so people are bound to change with time.

Now if we talk about reels and shorts, it can be made useful and harmful, it depends on what you consume between ocean of things.  

 It can made useful by shaping your feed by restricting algorithm to show negative, cringe and manipulative content. Make sure that you have the control and not algorithm handles you.

Echo Chambers    

It is one of the engaging and obscure topic of the blog by which people are not well aware of.

 Echo Chamber is reknowned word in social media industry. It is a envoirnment created around you by social media apps and their algos where a person encounters views, opinions that blosters/encourages their own thoughts such as -                                                                                                          

If you are a Mahi bhai fan , there will be a dopamine release when you would be watching good reels of him and you will be sharing it to your friends, hence the algorithm will show more reels of him resulting in increase of love for him creating the echo chamber.

  It creates a extremist view in the minds of the people that they even find it difficult consider opposition viewpoints and  believe that their thoughts is the absolute truth. It can be explained by an example so you would get the paronomic view about the issue.                                                                              

1. If anyone is BJP fan, social media algos will show the user only positives of BJP ultimately creating an echo chamber, making you feel it is the truest party ever exsisted and eventually it will not allow you to see from a different perspective and not even consider others view and you will be lost in your own own delusional world.

In India, we can see a clear echo chambers being created between Hindus and Muslims in social media which can really have  detrimental effects for the unity of the country.

So, it was short sneak peak that how echo chambers work and can affect anyone's life

Moving on.. to one of another intriguing topic which is Polarisation, also one of the worldwide concerning issue.

Polarisation, world is getting polarised which means people are choosing between options and thinking other options are totally wrong and my option is only ture, basically people are getting divided.  

 Nowadays, we can see polarisation in every topic, issue i.e-political views, religion etc, which lethality can be seen in US, as it is now a established fact that US is in decline and one of the main cause is the polarisation.

So, basic solution and old advice which would be not liked to be followed by anyone is that to listen, acknowledge, try to understand other's perspective too and then you can form your opinion where find logic and correctness.

At last we have to acknowledge that Data is the new oil, you can mould psychology of a person if you know about him/her, you can actually play them and it can be worst.
